All of these carries are back carries. Babies should be sitting on their own and have good head and neck control (usually around 6 months). You should be comfortable getting baby on your back/ be able to do a ruck prior to attempting these carries. Any time you are trying to learn a new carry you should have a spotter or practice while kneeling on a bed. Do not get frustrated if a new carry is not coming easily to you! Most carries take practice to be able to do well! If baby is getting impatient or wriggly, try practicing the carry a few times with a doll or stuffed animal and wait until you have a good understanding of the order and placement of the passes before attempting with your child.
